The easiest way to detemine this kind of thing is to do a parts lookup for both vehicles on reliable on-line parts houses like www.fcpgroton.com, www.alloemvolvoparts.com or any of a number of others. A Google search will lead you to them.

For 1992 740/940's you will be able to use a donor AC condensor, but only if they're both for a B230F engine or both for a B230FT turbo engine.
