CPP/CRP cheap plastic rubber parts on Volvo 900 1993

Here is a rant about the cheaply designed CPP's on Volvo's...

I have more than a few simple things to fix on my low mileage '93 940 sedan. Much as I like the 940 best of the 4 Volvos I have owned, fixing all the failed poorly designed plastic rubber stuff is a royal pain in the a** due to design or CPP, CRP (cheap plastic/rubber parts), (rear window brake light cover (CPP), shift lever rubber (CRP) and soldered with no electrical connectors), sunroof roof motor (microswitch failures) may be easier to just buy another motor/ so I did and it has same clicking microswitch failure problem..., door mounted mirrors (CPP) thin and cheap bezel sure to break on removal, door switch bezels (CPP), roof mounted light (CPP), strut billows (CRP) all failing in a car with only 70K...

I thing the "plastic engineers" at Volvo got to be some of the worst even as the safety, frame, engine, drivetrain guys are some of the best most talented.

It's amazing that Volvo did not seem to fix these simple problems even years and years into production... Next generation seems just as bad.
