Replacing all coolant hoses.... 700 1987

Hi Brickboard-ers,

I'm getting replacement hoses for my radiator and heater... the ones there don't look great (puffy and oily). I know I need to drain the radiator, but can someone post a step-by-step for me? My Haynes manual isn't here yet - I'm a technically-minded young guy (computer hardware repairman!) but this is my first time owning and maintaining a car. Thanks!

Hey, I have a slight whiff of antifreeze in my heater - and yes, I realize this is probably my heater core - any short-term solutions? Pepper in the radiator?

Also, my car's got the AW71 transmission - are there any coolant hoses to the transmission I need to replace?

Ari
