Speed Sensor Removal?

I put one in a 1990 745 recently. I didn't have a problem. Used an allen head socket I think. I jacked the car frame up to allow the axle to drop for better access. Can't remember but I might have just raised the car on the driver's side. Turns out I did not need to remove the sensor. My problem was that the wiring harness to the sensor was broken at the point where it plugs into the sensor. Insufficient harness support caused the wires to flex and break, IMHO. I see the new harness came with a modified bracket that gives more support.
