Shift Lock Stuck 200 1992

This happened on my 91. Two things: there's a manual release at the back of the shifter to get it out of park - you can reach it with a finger down into the shift-lever guide.

The fan-shaped neutral safety start in mine broke. I removed it and drove the car for a couple of days with the switch in start position until I could get a replacement.
