door hinges... 140-160 1974

You should be able to use hinges from an older 240, maybe any 240. I know someone who has put 240 doors on several 140s, and they bolted right up. At some point, (early-mid 80s) the latch mechanism changed, but the hinges MIGHT have remained the same throughout production.

I would suggest a trip to the junkyard, either to carefully measure a 240, or just buy the hinges if they are cheap, and take them home and compare them. Look for an older car, and, of course, one on which the door(s) are not drooping or wobbly.
