recprocating saw for exhaust cutting?

If you have a compressor a die grinder might be a better investment. You can attach an abrasive cut off disc and have those fastners off in no time. You will also find many other uses for that tool- including a wire wheel which gets a lot of use in my workspace. If you buy one get a bottle of air tool oil and keep it oiled up internally and it will last a long time.

A good reciprocating saw is not inexpensive and an inexpensive reciprocating is not worth much. I scored a beautiful Milwaukee reciprocating saw at a pawn shop for way less than half the cost of a new one. Milwaukee is good as is DeWalt.
