I see references here to a good and a bad wiring harness. I believe that the earlier ones deteriorated, caused various problems, and needed to be replaced; whereas the later ones fine and last a long time.

What's the break point on the year ie. which cars have the good harness? I think it's 86-up with the good one but not sure.
