I have my eye on a '79 wagon that I'd like a few thoughts on. It originated in CA (only rust mentioned are small spots at each of back-side fixed windows), is a 5-speed and has relatively low miles (I haven't seen it yet, so that's pending if odo is working). Owner says engine is strong running. Price is right (really right), so I'm interested. Aside from usual expected maintenance issues, what are you guys' opinion of this model year? Thanks.
