They ware happy with the way they lived. Who gave immigrants the right to treat them as inferiors and force them to assimilate into society that we might consider superior? You are bitching about a few illegal immigrants and effect they have on your life, now put yourself into position where everything you hold dear would be destroyed by another race, clamming to be superior to yours. They would force you to accept their values and way of life. America went to war at just of hint of this proposition.
Culture? Let’s not talk about culture, or lack of it, that immigrants brought over from the old world. Most of them ware too poor to care or too rich to give a damn. What they had though, ware firearms.
