Is 26.6 MPG Good ?? 700 1988

1988 740GLE wagon. Auto AW70L Tranny. Only have this car 3x weeks now. Just took first long road trip with it. Average speed was 65 to 70 mph. Highway driving. Aprox. 500x pounds of passenger & luggage. Averaged 26.6 MPG. Is this considered good mileage for this car/situation ?? I am not complaining at all. My previous car a 240 Sedan with stick shift M46/overdrive tranny averaged about 28mpg in same situation. By the way no problems whatsoever and we did aprox. 400 miles in one day. First wagon i've ever had and first auto tranny i've had in 10x years and first model 740 i've had ever. I'm getting to really like this car.
