Ignition lock fails to release the key 900 1994

Has anyone else had an ignition lock fail to release the key? This on a 1994 944T. So far 3 in 1 Oil with amply shaking and pulling has not freed the key up. I do have the ignition lock from a low mileage 1990 740 which I may install in the car. I didn't find anything the the 700/900 FAQ. I'll report more later. Right now the ignition key stays in the lock, and the extra key locks the doors.
