Opaque headlight lens fix 200 1989

Just a reminder/heads up that those scratched/fogged/faded headlight lenses of my style can be redeemed. I'm sure it's covered in FAQ. I learned this today when getting the car inspected. Although I drove in with a pipe separated from the muffler and assorted other issues, the inspector said my only problem was one lens.

For $50, he fine-sanded and polished the inside of both lenses, and now they look like new. I don't know more about the process than that.

I could have done it myself or bought aftermarket for perhaps a better or similar price. But I was so slobberingly grateful to get out of there with a Pass sticker that I let him do it.

So I'll be trying this on the 740 and other 240 when their lenses are borderline. Just wanted to pass this along.
