Last week we think Buttercup succumbed to the deadly wire-harness-rot, so we pulled her apart, re-wired, cleaned, powder coated, etc etc etc the engine bay. We gave her new everything seals and gaskets (including injectors) and started her back up yesterday.

Once we changed the timing from 40degrees back to 10+ she’s starting on the first key turn and idles smooth. But – when you give her gas the engine breaks up, starts missing and carrying on. Plus, she has no power at all… imagine putting a lawnmower engine in your 240 and trying to drive around…

Plus, there seems to be no frequency valve buzz…. Will this cause my super slow car, or is that another issue altogether? How do we check the FV, and where do we go from here?
