Been there, done that - NOT simple! 140-160

John, it sounds great, but some of the lifters I have dealt with (and remember
that I was replacing the cam in each case) were more than any pair of needle nose
pliers could handle. I have only experienced this problem with OEM lifters, btw. I am pretty sure that even the factory tool would not have gotten them out
unless I had some way to lever the tool up by prying against the deck of the block,
and then probably would have done serious damage to the lifter bores.

Sealed Power lifters, either long (OEM replacement) or short (IPD/Isky variety)
have never given me a problem in this respect.
