Help on Door Hinge Replacement 200 1993

Hello All,

The driver's lower door hinge needed replacement. It was "clacking" loudly when the door was opened/closed. Other than the clacking/cracking the door shut and opened nicely.

Got a replacement hinge and am having quite some difficulty getting the door to close easily. In several attempts to get the door aligned properly, I aligned the mounting bolts with the old bolt marks, I tried different positions and I even tried jacking up the front edge of the door before I tightened the two door bolts. Never really got an acceptable alignment.

There must be some tricks to this. The door actually closes properly, but is much harder to close than it was and there is some noticeable rubbing on the latch. When fully closed, it fits in the space nicely.

Either I'm doing something wrong, or there's something I don't know. Any suggestions.
