Electrical switch / relay mounted in front of coolant reservoir...? 700

All,

I'm getting my brick ready for some upcoming 'ugly' summertime (a lot of stop-n-go traffic) "driving" and am replacing my electric cooling fan as it crapped out quite awhile back...anyhooo...I have reviewed the 700 FAQ's and can find no mention of what this switch is that is mounted on the bracket directly in front of my coolant reservoir? Any ideas as what it controls?

Here’s the info in the FAQ’s:

“For the 700-style system the ECU is not involved, it's a single speed fan directly controlled by a coolant thermal switch (upper passenger side of rad). All it needs is the ignition switch at KPII: when the ignition is off, the fan should not run at all. The 700-style system is fully fuse protected at the dash (typically #7 for the fan motor and #9 for the relay control).”

Is it possible that this ‘switch’ mounted on the bracket in front of the coolant reservoir the “Relay control” mentioned above…? If so…does anyone have a part number for it?

In advance…as always...thanks to all who provide meaningful assistance!!!
