Chirps and whistles... 700 1987

Hi y'all,

I'm tracking down all the little chirps and whistles in my car, trying to get her in tip-top shape.

When I turn the car off, I hear a hissing noise... and I assume this is the vacuum that controls the air vents. Is this normal (loss of vacuum causing the vents to move), or is this the sign of a leak? I don't hear a leak during driving, nor during hard acceleration.

I still have a chitter in my engine when in gear, but it's intermittent. When in park or neutral (AW70L transmission), my engine purrs sweetly. It usually manifests itself when I slow to a stop from ~35 mph. Could this be a transmission mount?

Thanks!

Ari
