Odometer fix 700

About a month ago my trip Odometer stopped. After reading a number of things on the board I realized the following.

It quit not too long after I reset the service engine light, while the car was running. a day or so later I reset the trip odometer while the car was running (under way) then the trip odometer quit but the main odometer was still working.

several posters had said that you should not reset the trip odometer while the car is moving. several others had said that resetting the service light button underway caused problems too.

So I wne out to the car, parked in the driveway, punched the service light button several times. then punched the trip odometer several times . Started up, drove off. Trip odometer now works again
