Rocker moulding delete 200 1989

I plan on painting my 244 this spring. The previous owner took it upon themselves to delete all of the rocker trim/moulding that is found along the bottom of the doors and the rocker panels. Has anyone else deleted this trim when they painted their car? It looks like it would have a tendency to hold moisture and dirt next to the body.

If I decide to replace this trim, does anyone have all of the pieces to put it back the way it was? I did not get any with the car.

Thanks!
