Pulling an engine 200

Hey folks,
I'm getting ready to pull the 120k mile engine and tranny from an '87 245. Intend to store them both until one of the daily drivers blows, maybe I'll have the money to build a stroker out of it one day. Anyway...

What is the best way to go about pulling the engine and tranny? Just disconnect everything and pull them together? Should I remove accessories (A/C, PS, etc.) or manifolds or...?

I've got an engine hoist and stand, had them for many years since dad's rebuilding days. Any tips on storing the stuff?

Thanks,
Sean
