B23E valve adjustment 200

Hi guys, I have a 1980 244GL with a 1982 B23E and 4 speed. The car is in great nik and the only thing that is annoying me is the tickety tickety of the valves. How big a job isit to adjust the shims etc and if I take it to a Volvo guy how many hours would I expect it to take him? I am told that doing the hushers is a bigger job as you need to pull the cam out etc? I am sure I can tune out some of the lumpinedd at idle once the valves ar adjusted and at the same time kill off some valve noise. Admittedly i think it has a k cam but it should be smoother. How much do these hushers actualy hush the noise or can most of it be adjusted out with the shims etc?
