drive belt tensioning 200

Hi all,

Well, neither Bentley, Haynes, or Chilton gives me the answer.

On my son's '83 245, is drive belt tensioning, specifically crank pulley to AC compressor, accomplished by shimming the crank pulley? Both the alternator and power steering pump appear to have adjusters, but I see no such thing on the compressor belt (which is too loose and is squealing). If it is, are the shims likely to be a dealer-only item?

Wish it was more like my '90 245, where belt adjusting is a breeze.....
