Water Leak pooling behind drivers seat 780 700 1991

Hello. I have a 91' 780 coupe. While feeling behind the drivers seat today trying to find something I noticed that the carpet was very wet directly behind the drivers seat. I am not sure where the water is coming from and I know for sure that I did not leave a window open or the sunroof cracked, etc. The strange thing is that I have a Buick 2 seater and I just had to replace the carpet padding and buy a waterproof car cover because water was pooling up in the EXACT same spot!! I live in a fairly wet climate so it does rain often here.

I suspect that the water is coming from the rear possibly through a leaky rear windshield. The trunk seems very dry which is in contrast to my Buick where the trunk smelled mildewy and there was some moisture in some of the insulation back there. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I cannot believe that it is leaking into the exact same spot on 2 totally different vehicles.

Any tips will be appreciated.
