Had tires replaced 740gle 250k. Bought the car at 150K and don't think struts were ever replace. Guy at tire shop tells me that a strut piece is rusted and that given time like a few months the a good chance that the strut will end up breaking off and hitting the inside of my hood. Unclear what the cost is to replace struts. I'm near NYC. I drive to the bronx and just want to keep car for the commute.

Any idea of cost?
