Get a multimeter 700

Get a multimeter and do as I outlined and you will pinpoint the problem quickly
if it's on a fused circuit. The offending circuit will be drawing extra current.
The booklet that comes with a rat shack or sears meter should take the mystery
out of simple measurements. You can post back if you're stuck.

Dont waste your time listening for hums, and waiting for smoke.
