Engine Stalling Out 200 1988

I have a 88 240 with 217K on it, and recently one a couple of occasions, the engine will stall out when im idle at a stoplight or stopsign. The car turns right back on but i have to keep the engine above idle so it wont stall out on me again. This has happened 3 or 4 times already. My dad was saying it might be the air mass meter. Does anybody else have any ideas?

Also I don't know if these 2 problems are related but I've had another problem for a while now. Ill be at a stoplight or pulling out of my driveway and when I go from idle to start to accelerate, the car will move and sound fine, but then I lose power and car will keep its speed but wont go any faster even when i have pedal to the floor. Most of the time it will just start accelerating again after 5 seconds or so, but sometimes i have to restart car and it will be fine.
