Concerning undercoating/rustproofing my 445 444-544

The body and paint on my 445 were done many years ago. The body at that time was chemically stripped. It has been in the shed since, but is on the narrow edge of being drivable (shooting for the IPD garage sale). The body originally rested on felt strips on the frame. Using no particular powers of reason, I replaced it with same. I now realize that it will probably hold water and accelerate rust both on the body and frame. Should I use some sort of undercoat to at least cover the felt? If so, any reccomendations? Or maybe a commercial shop? Also, the bottom of the body was only primered and now shows spottings of rust. The same for the inside surfaces of the doors and body skins. Does treatment at this point of some sort help or just hide the damage.
