Wiped Out... 120-130 1967

Hello All:

1967 Volvo 122S Wagon. Happy spring to all. I finally get to tackle some overdue projects and to get started Virginia gave me a great motivation. Her driver-side wiper stopped working. I have traced the problem to the linkage below the dashboard - specifically that the cable loop has come off the "winding cam" (if you want to call it that). I am fairly certain that I know exactly how the linkage goes back together including the loop of cable and I have even figured out that I need to slacken the cable lock screws at the end of the linkage.

The problem is that I have spent two hours by myself trying to get the loop of cable back around the "cam" and I just cannot get the thing to do it. I am working by myself but can call in reinforcements if needed. Does anyone here have a suggestion for how to do this in less than three hours?

Thanks all. I missed you guys.

Cheers,

Jeff Pucillo
