544 project car 444-544 1961

I,m looking for some restoration advice for the 544 series. I just found one for sale for a reasonable price (I think---$1200), but it has not been run for about 10 years. I'm assuming that the engine will need rebuilt. Is that an accurate assumption and is that an expensive proposition? Also, are there things I should be aware of on the 544 models, like problems with frame rust (the car has been in dry storage for the past 15 years), availability of parts etc. I have had numerous 240's and found them easy to work on. Are the 544's unusually difficult in any way. The car looks ok overall, but is not fully assembled. It has been repainted and none of the chrome has been reinstalled but is all there, I think. How about availability of fasteners for the chrome etc. Any comments, (like I might be insane for thinking about something like this) would be appreciated.
