M410 in a '67 1800S ? 1800 1967

Hi Everyone and happy belated Easter to those of you who celebrate it.

I have an opportunity to get a good deal on a M410 tranny that came out of a 164S. I'm thinking I might want to use it in my '67 1800S or '69 122S.

Before I commit to buying it I have a couple questions.

What will I have to do in order to make that tranny work in my 1800 ?

How does the length of the M410 compare to that of the M41 D or J types (I have both types and their associated driveshafts) Will I need a special/different driveshaft to work with the M410 ?

What about shifter remotes ? Will the shifter on the M410 from the 164 line up with the shifter hole on my 1800 or is there going to be some custom work involved to make it fit ?

I really like the stock short throw shifter that my '67 1800S has and would prefer to keep it. Would it be possible to bolt the remote off my M41 onto the M410 and keep the stock gearshift ?

If the 410 is not going to work in the 1800 without a lot of hassle and custom work how about using it in my '69 122S ? Does anbody know if the shifter would line up ok on that car or would mods need to be made there too ? The 122 has a M40 in it now so I know I'd need a different driveshaft or at least a new front section. If the M410 and M41 J types are the same length then I should be able to get a driveshaft to work with the M410 somewhere.
