replacing ignition harness 200 1986

hello, it's been a while and I bought a newer 240 since the problem showed up, but it's time to fix the old one. My '86 240 has some seriously strange electrical issues which cause it to not start right.... it will cut out, not give signal AT TIMES to the spark coil. the car is more likely to start again after started initially, but it's still a pain. I've replaced or checked just about every part imaginable throughout the fuel injection and ignition system. Except the ignition harness which connects to the coil, ignition computer, hall sender, etc. it does look a little rough and I really can't find anything else that could be causing it. If I were to look for another harness, what years would work? I know around 87/88 the crumbling harness issue was solved, but are they the same as an '86? It's simple to find the large engine harness for the injectors and all that, but the smaller ignition harness is impossible to find an aftermarket replacement for. Any words of advice or help here? Thanks again!
