Brake warning light om 1800ES 1973 1800 1973

2vm;

Brake warning light is lite by one of two normal manners:

1. Handbrake activation (lever releases pressure on switch near pivot of lever).
2. There is a difference in pressure between the two independent hydraulic brake circuits (wire at differential pressure sensing switch, located in-line with plumbing not far from master cylinder, is grounded by switch).

Ascertain which one by disconnecting, one at a time, when IGN is ON and Indicator is lit.

If this light is somehow associated with shifter, that indicates something is not right...refer to ES wiring diagram at: http://www.sw-em.com/1800ES%20Wiring%20Diagram.jpg sorry, I don't have a key with it and it's not so clean...need to improve that...may someone can post linki to a cleaner version...

Good Hunting!
