MPG on 122s? 120-130

Totally agree...I've pretty regularly get a little less than 30 MPG when I've got my car on the highway - which isn't very often. Make sure the carbs and valves are up to scratch and the SU's will lean out at cruise. My city mileage is far more variable.

I do have issues with the way people will be all over your bumper because you are driving the speed limit in a vintage car. I got cut off this morning by one such worthy - gave her a little scare on the off ramp as my 122 can out corner her Forrester! No road rage - I was having fun well within the legal limits (ok, the speed is posted in KPH, and I was doing MPH but my spedo's a little off...wink). She didn't expect that a grandma white 122 (with IPD sways and a TrueTrac in the differential) could come flying around the corner like that - I love my TrueTrac.
