MPG on 122s? 120-130

Your mechanic may need professional help from a neurologist.

My 544 (which is significantly lighter than a 122s) has gotten as high as 34 mpg, but that was on a trip from Oklahoma to Missouri - the part of the world where people have a difficult time convincing others that the earth is round. "It really is flat! Look out the window!" Cruising speed was also limited to 65 mph

Also, I have a M41 with a model J OD installed behind my Box Stock B18 with twin SU's. I don't think it is logical to expect more than 26 - 30 mpg on the highway with the B18 - especially in the heavier and less aerodynamic RWD Volvos of the '60's
