Hi all,

As my second post for the night, I've run into a conundrum: I know that the ZF tranny was standard on '87 740GLEs. I have a '87 740GLE, but it's on its 3rd transmission - and the receipts from the PO say 'AW7 GRBX' as the transmission replacement type. What's up with this? Does this indicate a swap? There are also hints at an AW71 gasket. Weird.

I have yet to actually look under my car to read the tranny label. :)
