MPG on 122s? 120-130

Folks do like to brag a bit about fuel mileage.. that's always been the case. Yea... on one trip, car in perfect tune, and only the final stage of said trip, I got about 34mpg in my 1800s (with overdrive). There was likely an elevation drop in that final 350 or so miles... I've also gotten 10mpg in the same car in more aggressive driving situations, and when the car was not in proper tune.

Just a year ago or so, I was talking with a friend and Volvo shop owner... he had just gotten his 122 on the road. Slightly breathed on engine and with D-jet installed... he was telling me about how he was getting 35-40mpg. I said no, no, no...

A few weeks later I was back for some parts. He told me that he'd caught one of his mechanics adding gas to his car the week before :-)
