Checking AMM ser#? 200 1985

Saw this post about an air mass meter being the wrong one ...

Anyone know where this info might be, so I can make sure the right AMM is on this 85 245.

Bit more info.
I am helping a bud fix his 85 245 ...has a very rough idle, and sooty black plugs. The prior owner swapped an AMM from a boneyard into the car, so it might be good to check if it is the right one as I am replacing the plugs.

The wiring harness was really bad on this car. Found one and replaced it. Thinking that the bad wiring harness had a lot to do with rich running. Now it is just missing with sooty plugs.

Any and all ideas appreciated.
Thanks
