M41 rattle question 140-160

M41 (D-type as I recall) tranny that shifts well is currently in a 142. Only problem is a rattle when decelerating. I plan on pulling it out and installing in a BW-35 equipped 144 but I'd like to fix it while it's out of the car. Any words of wisdom or advice as to what I should be looking for?
