Timing Belt Help NEEDED PLEASE!!!

Hi
I have an 86 740 turbo diesel. My mechanic has it right now, going to change the timing belts. He cant get the crankshaft bolt off!! He has had it for a week and I have been without a car! He has the radiator out and has been using his impact wrench which he says has a lot of torque. Does anyone have the tools for this job near Binghamton or Ithaca, NY ?

ANY help would be great, I am in big trouble if I dont have this car up and running soon?
