91 740 Turbo with Intermittent stall at speed and idle. 700 1991

Hi All

Frustration plus!

Quits at all speeds and it's fuel, I believe, as the tach stay's alive.
Have swopped from a goer....pump relay. rs relay, the two ecu's, crank sensor, knock sensor, amm, main fuel pump and filter tray and heard the in tank pump, checked for fuel in the fpr vac hose.
It seems to be an electrical problem that cuts the fuel. The check engine light comes on, I pull #1 fuse and replace as I coast along, seemr to reset and away we go again till the next time. The only code I get is on 6 and is 1-4-4.
I don't know about the ignition switch, coil or distributer though I feel that I need to check some earth(ground)/wiring connections to do with the ecu and ground locations inside the car, but I will really need some advice for that.
I do have a Haines diagram to 89 if that's appropriate.

Any help will be very appreciated.

Cheers
Ian
