No spark from coil. EZK ignition 200 1989

"When I stop ccranking starter (key III) I hear the fuel pump(s) running for 1/2 second, then the relay clicks and the fuel pump sound stops."
• Sure sounds like CPS is pulsing EZK and EZK is pulsing the LH ECU, if pumps are running and injectors are operating.

"After cranking I smell gasoline under the hood - I have a good nose."
• Then probably the plugs are wet, right? Maybe you do have a (rare) EZK problem, if the Power Stage (which you've swapped) isn't getting triggered. Or maybe a poor contact / connection between EZK and PS.
