Car creeps in neutral 700

I have the ZF transmission in my '87 740 GLE.

It works great - smooth shifts, great acceleration, and no rough downshifting when slowing to a stop.

But one little thing bothers me. I discovered that the car will creep forward very slowly in Neutral, after the car has been placed in D. The car will only do this on a flat surface with no incline or obstacles. After shutting the car off in N and then restarting it, there is no movement. I am guessing this is due to pressure on the forward clutch pack, which bleeds off when the car's turned off.

Is this a sign of a coming problem or just a quirk of the ZF? I know better than to rev the car in P/N, and I rarely ever put the car in neutral - I found out about this by accident.


Any thoughts?
