I indeed do have a manual, Haynes in fact, and I DID read it. :) So perhaps I am not totally hopeless! I went through the manual and many online sources. I simply wished to confirm what I read on my dads behalf because he had his doubts and really did not want to do mess it up. It is a relatively minor inquisition. I did not anticipate such a reaction. I regret your conclusion that I have shown no effort. I will do a better job of not wasting your time again! AND even if I had not researched elsewhere, like I have, there is nothing wrong with asking here for a quick response to save time or research. Maybe it bothers you but my general interpretation of the members of this forum is that they are happy to help and to talk about things VOLVO, regardless of how trivial. I was not aware I should hesitate using this resource. Sometimes it is easier to ask a question here if you want peace of mind on something and/or if you aren't up to cruising the net to find your info. But at least in my case I did do my preliminary research. Perhaps I should email you with my future questions for the forum before I post them to make sure I am worthy. I will make sure include my sources and documentation in my email.
