FPR fixed 2-3-2 (too rich code) and new mpg is 18/24 from 16/20 700

I had a previous post about finding a 20$ replacement fpr and got it and replaced it.
I had a 2-3-2 code stating it was running too rich, and a rough idle, etc., and found a really cheap fuel pressure regulator. I had never replaced it and thought it could be bad.
Replacing it and checking all my plugs revealed one (the #1, closest to water pump I think, with damaged threads) had backed off.

The end result is that today going from Modesto CA to Fairfield CA and back I went 227 miles on 9.2 gallons, which was way better than what I was seeing before. I had dropped to 16mpg around town and noticed no driveability difference with the vacuum line disconnected.

so, another person advising everyone to replace it as preventative maintenance.
GRINZ!
