FUEL PUMP PROBLEMS? 700 1985

I HAVE A 740 GLE 1985 VOLVO. WHILE DRIVING IT WILL STOP. NO ADVANCE WARNING. IT IS AS THOUGH IT IS NOT GETTING ANY GAS. THEN IT IS HARD TO RESTART. I HAVE REPLACED GAS FILTERS AND THE PUMP IN THE GAS TANK AS WELL AS SOME TYPE OF RELAY UNDER THE HOOD. DOES ANY ONE HAVE A CLUE SHORT OF JUNKING IT. I REALLY NEED HELP.
