so i was looking at my car the other day, and noticed that it has a cat and two mufflers. whats the purpose of the second muffler?? im doing some weight removal,( an eventual rally car) and was wondering if taking the whole back half of the exhaust system would be bad. why did they put two mufflers on?? i was also debating on running a single glasspack out the side of the car straight from the downpipe. opinions anyone??
