The Death of FCP, Groton, Ct

Not so at all. Last week (Monday specificially) the AMM sensor died on my 245. The cause of the failure was the flapper in the air box being stuck in the full heated air position. I live in Central Florida, and called FCP Groton late in the day. My car was dead at work, and it was after the cut off time for next day deliveries. The nice folks at FCP Groton, made an extra effort, and I received my part in under 22 hours.

They will continue to have my business, and with the service that they provide, even if it costs a little more, I will still be a loyal customer. They have proven themselves over and over. I can't get that kind of service from my local Volvo Stealership.

Do you really expect the prices to remain the same year in and year out? The cost of the parts continue to rise to the distributor, plus they are constantly being hit with exorbitant fuel surcharges from the transportation companies who deliver the parts to and for them.

I think that we should all be grateful that there are places such as them where the parts are available, and we are their cause to be in business, rather that a PITA as the Dealerships look at us as being. My local Dealer looks at those of us who keep the old Volvo's going as being a hinderance to business for them. FCP Groton, and IPD look at us as being their reason for being in business.

Think about it.
