I would immediately take another voltage reading at the battery.

Check if that after revving the engine good the voltage increases. If it does then you've just excited the alternator, which means that the D+ wire is faulty.


I had the same thing happen today at McDonalds; It wouldn't start and even by revving the car up and exciting the alternator, my battery died in a couple of weeks. Must not give full output without the D+ wire attached. (I was to lazy too reattach the wire)

Check that the amp lamp lights in the dash when the key is turned to on.
