Red/White wire on 960 coil pack harness? What is it? 900 1993

Background, 1993 Volvo 960 with B6304S engine. Engine in car had cracked block, leaked coolant like crazy but actually ran. Got "good used" engine from 1994 960 from reputable Volvo recycler.

Installed engine, turns over, won't fire. Appears to have no spark.

Noticed this red/white wire on coil pack harness near rear of engine not connected to anything. Did not remember unhooking it when removing the original engine. Where does it go/what is it for?

Any advice on where to look next to get the replacement engine running?
